MEET THE TEAM

Meet Katherine - Founder / Licensed Counselling Therapist - Candidate

Hi there, my name is Katherine! I'm the founder of, and a Counselling Therapist here at Prism. Coming to therapy isn’t always easy, and I want to make your time in session as comfortable and efficient as possible. Regardless of the clients I work with, one thing has remained consistent throughout – mental health matters. Whether you perceive your struggles as small or insignificant, or the circumstances you are faced with have completely taken over your life, we all deserve the opportunity to work on issues occupying negative space in our minds. I hope that through my role, I am able to guide you through the stressors of life, while finding practical solutions to live happier.

Some of my particular areas of interest include: helping individuals regain a sense of purpose and zest for life, working with clients through big life changes such as tragedy or parenthood, couples counselling, and intellectual disabilities.

Meet Peter - Master of Social Work/Clinical Therapist

Hello! I’m glad you’re here seeking support and recovery from the challenges of life. Taking this important first step means you’ve already begun the journey toward a better future. I would love to be a part of this process with you, getting to know your unique history, personality, preferences, and style. As a counsellor with extensive experience working with people who have been through severe trauma and everything this leads to, please know that you will not be judged, that you’re not alone, and that progress is possible. Nothing is too big or too insignificant to be addressed.

Along with trauma and PTSD, my areas of focus also include dissociative disorders, depression, bipolar, anxiety, OCD, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and substance abuse. If you’re struggling with suicidal thoughts, let’s talk in confidence and make a good plan. My approach varies depending on the person and situation at hand, and I enjoy working with individuals and couples from approximately age 8 to 100.

Meet Taylor - Counselling Intern

Hi! My name is Taylor and I am so excited to be joining the Prism team in September as a counselling intern. I strive to make sure my clients are as comfortable as possible during sessions, and hope to create a sense of peace and warmth. My office is a safe place for people of every race, religion, and sexual orientation. I favour a solution-focused approach to counselling, but my main goal is to build a strong therapeutic alliance with each of my clients.

Being a military dependent my entire life, and now a military wife, my interests are in working with military children and their families as they transition to their home here in New Brunswick. I am also hoping to specialize in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as their families.

I firmly believe that sometimes we all need a little help with everything that life throws at us, and I’m here to help you through it.

Meet Rebecca - Counselling Intern

Hello! I am excited to be joining the Prism team in offering inclusive services to support mental health and well-being.

My main objective is to establish a connection with my clients and provide them with a safe space to work towards achieving their goals. My unique combination of education and experience has provided me with a skillset to support individuals and families, specifically targeting anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, anger management, and social-emotional learning. My interests and skillset include working with adults and youth, as well as individuals who identify as neurodivergent (including ADHD, ASD, and ODD). I favor a CBT and Emotion-Focused approach to therapy while collaborating with clients in selecting a therapeutic approach that works well for them.

I value the therapeutic relationship and meeting clients where they’re at to make the counselling experience both positive and productive. I hope to come alongside my clients to support their journey towards fostering mental health, resiliency, and well-being.

Meet Michelle - Certified Hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational Therapist

Hello! I’m Michelle and I am a Certified Hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Practitioner.

I love this modality of therapy as it allows clients to understand the root cause of any issue (physical, mental, emotional, interpersonal etc.). When we identify what is perpetuating our suffering and face it head on in a safe and supportive environment, then we can finally release our battle with it. This creates space for new, empowering beliefs that allow us to live much more enjoyable lives, free of past pain and unwanted patterns.

My hypnotherapy program involves:

30-minute Intake Session to discuss your issue and goals

90-minute Hypnotherapy (RTT) Session to work through the root cause, let it go, and build in new beliefs

15-minute personalized recording to listen to for 21 days for long-lasting results.

Email support available over 21 days, option to book additional Support Meetings to assist with transition over 21 days.

We will work with one issue at a time. Significant shifts generally occur after 1-3 sessions. You will definitely feel much more empowered after the first session!

We all have our struggles. Whatever your issue may be, I am here to support you, remind you that change is possible, and help you get there!

Meet Vanessa - Registered Dietician

Hi there! I am Vanessa Langille, a mental health Dietitian and owner of Langille Nutrition. I help people optimize their mental health through nutrition. Improving your eating habits can help increase energy, boost mood, and enhance mental clarity. You don’t have to be diagnosed with a mental illness to reap the benefits of a healthy eating pattern.

My philosophy is that all foods fit. When you work with me, we focus on what you can add to your diet. The goal is to nourish your brain and body so it can run efficiently. Food does not need to be an extra stressor in your life, let me help!

Some areas I can help with:

-What to eat to support your mental health, meal and snack ideas for tough times, regulating your appetite, cravings, support and guidance in making changes, managing gut health symptoms, eating strategies to keep you energized throughout the day, creating a better relationship with food, and more!

The reality is, if you are not fueling your body properly – it will not run efficiently. Nutrition is an important tool to have in your mental health toolbox and it can be tough to navigate on your own. Let me help you out. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, or to see if we might be a good fit!
